Haunting and profound with an abdominal twist,

Sudden turn of events as the red stain blooms.

Pace of bodies gauged by society,

Space of bodies laid in ritual realities.

The dailiness of action whipped under taboos,

Do’s and don’ts governed with mythical whips.

Assorting into tiny sconces in lunar nights and days,

Laying formulas to touch or untouch is disdained in many ways.

Mythico-religious notions sunken in these periods,

Will those cardinals solve those weekly cramps?

Probably everybody scorns this redness of red blood,

De-humanizing souls since everyone was born

From that same red blood.

A matrix of mythical morals entangles the body,

Disdained is the space which lays in this reality.

Despite blemishes in my body, it is tangled with horror, with shame,

And will still dishevel those norms and transcend in this space.

Honor and shame in following these beliefs of immorality,

Shedding off these myths with feathers of menstruability.

Untouch those taboos dwelling in society,

Begin a new life touched with some humanity.

(Dedicate this poem to all women around the world, dwelling in mythico-religious societies)
