Every once in a while, the muscles in our body send an indirect message which ask us to let go of our procrastination and do something physically demanding. It probably took years, even centuries, for the human race to understand that it was the ‘inverted pear’ which sends these signals as the race was dominated by the ego and the malevolent violence of those who didn’t have the inverted pear inside of them. Since it is a long-won battle, it is necessary to speak about the war inside the pear, between blood and hormones. A sheet of red had been making their perfect decoration inside the pear to accommodate a beautiful alien life form, ignoring the distress signals sent from the centre inside the brain which controls all basic emotions. The pear welcomes this life form except for the fact that it never had to be in it for long since it leaves as soon as it comes. The pear has no choice but to shed the decoration, it doesn’t need it yet, after all, it also has to concur with the distress signals, which plead that it is not the right time to accommodate a life form. However, within its carefully designed walls, curated by the shells of life called ovaries, they are invaded by a painful war every month. Big armies of molecules which call themselves prostaglandins find their way to the pear, constricting the holes through which the red decorations have to be shed. The pear has no choice but to fight back in order to let the constriction happen as it counters it with its molecules with adept skills and proper motivation. As they were fighting, the pear slowly allowed the decoration to be shed along with the dead alien. But, war has left too many cuts and bruises on the walls. The pear started receiving another distress signal ‘It hurts!

Best way to talk to your daughters about periods

The war lasted longer than it anticipated, soon it started feeling dizzy, another set of molecules were finding its way to the centre of the distress signal, to shut it down temporarily. So the signals related to the injuries and signals related to collateral damages were no longer going to the centre. The pear is on its own now but it has endured the after – effects for as long as it could. Soon, the counter molecules had won and the prostaglandins let go of their constrictions and the red decorations were released.

The pear sent a signal to the centre: “I need more juice”. It took a while but the answer came, “The player refuses to move for your sake.”This angered the pear and it kept sending the signals ferociously: “I am left all alone, all this time in this ruckus. All I ask in return is for some fuel so that my work here is less intense.” The centre realises what the pear is asking for and that another war is inevitable. The player has been in pain caused by the war and the centre finds it hard to convince the player as she has had to face more lectures on how she should look after her health and therefore needs to make sure that her pear is safe. The player wants to be free of such shackles and she refuses to see her pear as a liability. It is not just meant for welcoming the alien amidst the red decorations. One day, she set out and ran as fast as she could. She did the one thing that she was passionate about. She ran and ran, leaving out the stigma and the hours of lecture she was forced to face, behind. She kept running, feeling the cool breeze on her face, listening to the soft wind as she cut through the air and touched the hard surface under her feet. She stopped and sat down. Her legs were tired but her heart felt satisfied. It kept pumping more juice all over her, into her brain where the centre could recharge it with better signals and finally the pear was bathed in the fuel. The holes were widened allowing the fuel to rush in, giving the pear perfect space to breathe and to feed on. The player does this every day and whenever she can. The pear could never be happier. But in its mind, it kept counting till that day of the month. As a dutiful worker, it decorated the walls but the walls had to be shed. The prostaglandin army was coming, the pear countered it. The pear called out to the centre but this time, the centre responded quickly. It sent another army called the endorphin to help the pear counter it better. The endorphin kept the holes wide enough for the decorations to be shed. The endorphin helped in healing the bruises on the walls. The player found a better way to endure the pain. All she needs is to do what she loves without any second thoughts. The player, the centre and the pear worked together to help them overcome the war in the pear spot better and to let the player be herself. No limitations, all she needed was hard work. Eventually she won a medal in running a race in her school.
